The main goal of our project is to make space for Ukrainian women refugees and their children where they feel as if they are at home despite their distant location from Ukraine. As our initiative is not focused only on providing prior consultation on adaptation to the Dutch environment and organizing various events with the help of our team and partners, we allow the refugee women to hold the events they want.

When arriving in an unknown environment with a peculiar culture, it is essential to be in touch with those who experienced the difficulties of full-scale war and receive support from the Ukrainian community. UWRA allows every woman refugee to organize the events themselves to provide comfort for other refugee families because, in a circle of like-minded people, it is easier to find the strength to start a new life in the Netherlands. The sessions can be dedicated to various activities, from knitting, art classes, and gardening to tours around Amsterdam, cooking, and casual meetings to drink tea together and communicate.

If you would like to organize any event in the framework of our project, please fill out this form, and our team will contact you to confirm in detail cooperation:
